The Detroit Auto Show today launched My Drive. My City. My Show., a storytelling campaign featuring a special collection of Detroiters — from sports legends and bold-thinking entrepreneurs to community leaders and award-winning artists — all sharing their stories and personal love affair with cars and the Motor City.  The new campaign series, rolling out with an exciting lineup of Detroiters now through January 2025 and beyond, can be found at detroitautoshow.com and all social media channels.

The My Drive. My City. My Show.™ campaign draws upon the deep emotional connection the Motor City and its people have with their cars, their community and the iconic Detroit Auto Show, next scheduled for Jan. 10-20, 2025, at Huntington Place in Detroit.

“Our love affair with the automobile is uniquely Detroit; no other place has this kind of connection,” said Detroit Auto Show Co-Executive Director Sam Klemet.  “The Detroit Auto Show has been a source of this connectivity for more than 100 years, and this new campaign will not only intensify this relationship with cars, but also with the people and community that drive this passion.”

The campaign features Detroiters and other Motor City changemakers.  The initial launch of My Drive. My City. My Show.™ “storytellers” includes:

  • David Medina Álvarez, Founder + CEO, LIVAQ
  • Ann Delisi, Detroit Broadcaster & Music Aficionado
  • Dan Dickerson, Play-by-Play Broadcaster, Detroit Tigers
  • Mike Duggan, Mayor, City of Detroit

More Detroiters and Michiganders will be featured in My Drive. My City. My Show.™ in the weeks and months leading up to, during and after the 2025 Detroit Auto Show.  The multi-channel campaign will be featured in digital, print and outdoor activations, including placement on detroitautoshow.com, social media channels and displays around the city and at the Detroit Auto Show.

The public is also invited to submit their stories and photos to the My Drive. My City. My Show.™ campaign at detroitautoshow.com.  Whether it’s memories of that unforgettable first ride, that nostalgic family ride, an indescribable dream ride, or memories of family trips to the Auto Show, the Detroit Auto Show wants to hear about it and share it with its audience.  These stories will be shared online and on social media.

In keeping with the Auto Show’s longstanding support for charities, everyone submitting their story to the campaign will be invited to list the name of their favorite charity or cause to help drive awareness for that organization.
