Media credentials are provided to qualified journalists so they may attend scheduled events at the Detroit Auto Show. To qualify for media credentials, a person must be a working print, broadcast or website journalist.
Media Credentials are valid:
- Wednesday, January 14th, 8:30 am – 7 pm
- Thursday, January 15th, 9 am – 7 pm

IMPORTANT: All persons entering the show floor with a credential will be required to present additional identification (a valid driver’s license or passport) for validation.
2026 Detroit Auto Show credentials are not transferrable. If Detroit Auto Show management becomes aware of any credential(s) being transferred to unauthorized individual(s), Detroit Auto Show management reserves the right to confiscate the credential(s) and remove such person(s) from the show.
**** Credentials for working media for the Charity Preview event cannot be requested online. All requests must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Please submit your written request to Heather George at Lovio George, hgeorge@loviogeorge.com.
PLEASE NOTE: There are no reprints for lost or stolen Charity Preview credentials. Those entering the show floor with a Charity Preview credential must go through the Hall C Entrance doors and present valid identification (valid driver’s license or passport) at the time of entrance.
Important Dates:
Online registration for media credentials begins Friday, October 10, 2025.
To have credentials mailed (for addresses within the U.S. only), requests must be submitted by Monday, December 15, 2025.
Registration deadline for media application is Monday, December 29, 2025. No applications will be accepted after this date.
Media Credentials Office opens at Huntington Place Monday, January 5, 2026. Located at the Hall C entrance inside Huntington Place.
