The Detroit Auto Show is thrilled to announce the participation of Detroit Lions star Taylor Decker in its My Drive. My City. My Show.™ campaign, a celebration of Detroit’s unique automotive culture and the people who embody its spirit. The special storytelling campaign highlights iconic Detroiters and their connections to cars and the Motor City. The Detroit Auto Show is scheduled for Jan. 10-20, 2025, at Huntington Place in Detroit. Editor’s Note: Taylor Decker My Drive. My City. My Show.™ new campaign assets available here.
Taylor Decker, the Lions’ longest-tenured player on this year’s team, epitomizes Detroit’s resilience, commitment, and community spirit. With nearly a decade on the team, Decker has become a fixture of Detroit’s sports scene, known for his leadership and passion both on and off the field. His story, featured across Detroit Auto Show’s website – detroitautoshow.com – social media channels, billboards, and other outlets, captures this bond in vivid detail.
In the spotlight of this campaign is Decker’s beloved 1968 Ford Bronco, a tribute to his #68 jersey and Detroit’s automotive legacy. Shot at the Detroit Lions Meijer Performance Center in Allen Park, Michigan, the visuals blend his football journey with his admiration for classic cars, creating a powerful homage to the Motor City.
“This city is a special place to me. My daughter was born here. My son is going to be born here. It’s become home to me,” said Decker. “I’ve spent more years in Detroit than anywhere else in my career, and I’m proud to contribute to this community that has given me so much.”
Beyond his impact on the field, Decker is dedicated to uplifting Detroit through his support of Alternatives For Girls, an organization committed to empowering girls and women at risk of or experiencing human trafficking, homelessness, and poverty. This commitment to giving back exemplifies his deep connection to Detroit and its people.
