Rules

The Detroit Auto Show is calling on creators across the country to submit original video content (:15–:30 seconds) promoting the excitement, innovation, and energy of the upcoming 2026 show. We’ll provide you with official show b-roll and branding assets—your job is to bring the hype!

Content Requirements

  • Video must be between :15-:30 seconds
  • Content must have a focus on Detroit Auto Show.
  • All subject matter must be in good taste.
  • Logo and other Detroit Auto Show assets will be provided and should be integrated
    into the content.

Awards and Recognition:

Cash awards for first, second, and third place

First place: $5,000 plus a pair of tickets to Charity Preview on Friday, January 16th

Second Place: $1,000

Third Place: $500

Featured screening of your video at the Charity Preview on Friday, January 16th

Your video played on screens throughout the Detroit Auto Show from January 14- 25th

How to Enter:

  2. Download the content creator toolkit
  3. Submit your final video before the deadline (December 12th)
  4. Post on your social channels tagging @detautoshow and @creatorcondet including the hashtag: #DAS2026CreatorContest

Winners and Rights

An independent panel of recognized representatives from the art community will judge entries. These judges are selected at the sole discretion of the Foundation. The judges will not discuss the individual designs with the artists for any reason after the contest. The rules of the contest will be enforced in the sole determination of the Foundation. The judges’ determination is in their sole discretion.

Winners will be announced prior to the opening of the Detroit Auto Show, January 14-25, 2026. In order to claim their prizes, winners must disclose their Social Security numbers to the Foundation. Any federal, state, or other tax, license, or fee imposed upon the prize winners or the prize will be the sole responsibility of the prize winners. The sole financial consideration for the creator is the prize.

Content may be displayed at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2026 and reproduced on the official website and social media pages at the sole discretion of the Foundation.

All winning entries become the property of the Foundation as copyrighted work for hire. Except as used by the Foundation, all artists will retain the rights to their work. Entry in the contest constitutes full permission to publish names and photos of winners without further compensation. The determination of eligibility of entries and any interpretation of these rules is at the sole discretion of the Foundation and shall be final and binding upon all entrants. By participating, the entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by these rules. All contestants must certify that their submitted content is their original work and not copied from another copyrighted work or the art of another person. In the event content is published on social media or at the show, the contestant grants a limited license to the Foundation to display the content in all media and merchandise.
