Josh Laurent

Car Enthusiast & Influencer

Next Gen Speed. Pure Detroit Energy.

“What’s the dilly, yo? It’s your boy Josh Laurent…” That phrase kicks off almost every video Josh drops—and it’s become a calling card for one of Detroit’s most electrifying automotive voices.

Born and raised in the Motor City, Josh grew up on adrenaline. His dad’s Corvette. Weekend races at Milan Dragway with his uncles. The first time he felt a V8 roar from the passenger seat—he was hooked. “It was like a rollercoaster—but way better. That was it for me.”

At just 24 years old, Josh has gone from a Jeep Liberty rebuilt in his dad’s shop to Trackhawks, AMGs, Lamborghinis—and hundreds of thousands of followers watching him bring cars to life online. He doesn’t just drive them—he transforms them. Widebody kits. Custom wings. Wrapped builds with attitude. “I ask myself, what do I want this car to say when it’s on the road?”

And people listen.

Out in LA or Miami, car scenes can be divided. Here in Detroit, it’s different. Whether it’s a supercar or a muscle car, everybody pulls up and shows love. That’s the vibe here. That’s what makes it special.

Through YouTube, Instagram, and rallies across the country, Josh has become a new face of car culture—one that’s unapologetically Detroit and entirely his own. He’s not about cliques or status. “Out in LA or Miami, car scenes can be divided. Here in Detroit, it’s different. Whether it’s a supercar or a muscle car, everybody pulls up and shows love. That’s the vibe here. That’s what makes it special.”

That same spirit is what he sees in the Detroit Auto Show. “It’s more than just cars—it’s tradition. It’s family. I’ve been going since I was a kid with my dad. Now I’m bringing that same energy to the show for the next generation.”

Josh isn’t just showing up—he’s showing the future. At the Auto Show’s Cars & Community event, he connected with fans, shared his builds, and brought a fresh audience into the experience. “I want kids to come in and be like, ‘Yo, I could do this. I could build that. I could be that.’”

His journey hasn’t been easy—burned-down cars, totaled builds, credit rejections—but he’s never let setbacks stop the drive. “The difference between winners and losers? Winners don’t quit.”

Fueled by faith, resilience, and a love for all things loud and fast, Josh is helping redefine what car culture looks like—and who it includes.

“This is just the start,” he says. “Detroit raised me. Now I get to help raise up the next wave of car lovers right here.”
